Melissa Harlow D.C.
CACCP, CKTP
As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Melissa Harlow has years of intense training and experience in spinal adjustments. We at Peak Balance Chiropractic believe in a whole-body approach that the whole family can benefit from. Utilizing gentle chiropractic techniques we provide advanced spinal correction allowing your body to restore balance. Of course, each case varies and consideration has to be made for age, physical resilience, and severity of the problem. Typically, Dr. Harlow likes to focus on strength, flexibility, and postural corrections which target the true cause of the problem. Addressing the structure first allows for optimal nervous system function and peak performance!
Originally from Colorado Springs, Dr. Harlow is passionate about chiropractic and is excited to bring chiropractic care to the local Colorado Springs community. She was a graduate of Air Academy High School, the University of Northern Colorado, and Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, American Chiropractic Association, Colorado Chiropractic Association, and the Logan College of Chiropractic Alumni Association.
Dedicated to the latest most advanced techniques, Dr. Harlow has additional certifications with the ICPA in whole family wellness care. She is Webster Technique Certified and granted CACCP which is Board Certification in prenatal care and chiropractic pediatrics. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Exercise and Sports Science and it fuels her interest in working with athletes in both injury recovery and prevention. Even today you’ll find Dr. Harlow on the soccer field 2-3 times per week. We have several Peak Balance indoor soccer teams representing our awesome “I got your back” shirts.
Dr. Harlow is a mother of two, a beautiful daughter, Taylor, and a son, Logan. She met her husband in college and they have been happily married for 20 years. Starting a family has been the driving force behind Dr. Harlow’s focus on working with expecting and postpartum moms. Not exactly happy with her first birth experience, Dr. Harlow is passionate about helping other mamas get the birth experience they want and helping educate to make changes to the attitudes and fears behind childbirth.
